Survivor Stories

Janette Smith we miss you!

Janette and Adai Lamar We salute you and honor your memory.
Everyone knew her as Granny. She was known for her kind and nurturing spirit. Her door was always open to those in need for a large portion of her life. We became part of her support system when she heard of My Sister My Friend Breast Cancer Support from a relative.  "A genuine sweetheart that you simply had to love".
She was an  MTA Bus Driver until shortly
after her first bout with breast cancer.  Upon her  return to work her cancer returned. We truly miss her and are grateful for her friends and love ones who helped us through supporting her and women like her, by giving birth to the Bikers Ride for Cancer. They continue to help us in the trenches, where no one else might go, taking the message to the streets. Donating $3,500.00 from their proceeds in 2013. They give hope and you can too by making a recurring donation of at least $25.00 monthly and keeping in mind that families need only battle one thing at a time and that nothing happens without hope.
