Edna Jones – Vice President
Edna is a native of Los Angeles and a recent graduate of California State University Long Beach. Having earned her Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice, she currently volunteers to provide free legal services at the Community Free Legal Clinic while pursing her law degree at Loyola Marymount University.
Edna has worked for EEOC for more than 15 years. She is a multi-talented and task oriented individual, who is also a breast cancer survivor and she is dedicated to making an instrumental impact on the lives of others.
Toni Traylor, BSN, RN – Treasurer
Toni hails to us from the city of Compton, CA. She earned her Bachelors in Nursing by way of California State University Dominguez Hills. She currently works at Kaiser Permanente, Sunset; where she attends to the critical needs of children in Pediatrics Intensive Care Unit.
Toni has worked in patient care for more than 14 years, having begun her career as a Nurse at King- Drew hospital in south central Los Angeles she has been an advocate in total patient care and understands the needs of her community.
Shakia Ellsworth, LVN, Secretary
Shakia is a native of Los Angeles, CA and pursued her nursing licensing and in line with a family tradition and lineage of healthcare professionals.
She has served her community well as a volunteer in Senior Centers, Women’s Health Centers Child Care Providers throughout Los Angeles and San Bernardino Counties. Her desire to strengthen her community is exemplified through her work. She currently assist with special events and projects with a focus on health education and community outreach.
Tracy Fairbanks – Member At Large
Tracy is a native of the South Bay area and currently resides in Carson, CA. She is a Marketing and Community Programs Manager for Nix, a subsidiary of Kinnecta Federal Credit Union with over 18 years of experience in the field. Tracy’s position has entailed extensive involvement in her employer’s community service initiatives including the Kinecta/Nix Annual Food Drive, Back-to-School Backpack Drive and fundraising for nonprofits such as Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, among many others.
Tracy is also a breast cancer survivor, who is passionate about giving back, serving her community and spreading awareness. She has a love for animals (especially dogs) and her fellow man, she is genuinely committed to making a difference in the lives of many.
